Shipwrecks
40 more days and 40 more nights
On April 28th it will all be all right
Treasure hunters will come together
to talk and learn and cuss the weather
To drink a toast to them that's past
and celebrate the whole damned cast
of players, payers, knights and knaves
the histories, the mysteries, truths
the winners, the losers and some guy from Duluth
the gold and silver and stories they've saved
the glories and the stories of sailors, kings and those enslaved

Fisher, Webber, Brandon and Marx
When Fizz shows up there could be some sparks
McKee, Martinez, Moore and others
Authors signing books on their inside covers
Armstrong and Mattera, Milner and Steven Singer
Chatterton, Cousteau?, Fismer and probably some ringers.
Some act the fool, some have some sense
Cussler won't show up. but we'd rather have Spence!
Pirates and parrots and pathological liars
Ribs, hot dogs and burgers cooked over fires
All this and more is what you will find
If you're able to come and of somewhat sound mind
In Wabasso, Florida April 28th
Come early, bring money and try not to be late.

Atocha
Republic
Whydah
Black Swan.
If it weren't for we salvors, these all would be gone
Margarita
Merchant Royal
Gairsoppa
Consolacion
Smart men, brave men brought their treasures finally home
Panama
Colombia
the Bahamas
and more
These places they call us and we learn all their lore
Exotic locales and wild places we've seen
and Politicians who are petty, venal and mean
Sharks who could take off your hand in a flash
are nothing compared to a lawyer with his eye on your cash
It's worth whatever it takes if the fire burns in your soul
Chains and coins and bars made of pure yellow gold
Do all your research so you find more than a cargo of coal!
Look at all this, I have broken my rhyme
Good night my friends, it's past my bed time.

Looks, like I will make it. This could be my last one and I want to see all you other crazy people. I'm also looking forward to hearing more stories from Walter who works at the Pennwood.
If Walter never told you the story about his uncle and the mule. Ask him to tell you that story. You will be laughing your butt off.

I'm Ecstatic you're going to make it this year! I'm afraid Walter recently lost his job there due to new ownership. However, I'll see about getting the invite out to him if he's still in the area.

I will be running a demo of DigTrakR on the evening of April the 27th, the day before the Annual Treasure Hunters Cookout at the Pennwood Lodge in Sebastian, weather permitting. I will use a hotspot if they don't have wifi, and a digital projector and screen. I will have a thumb drive with an install version of the software, so if you want to beta test, bring your laptop and we'll give it a go. The program will be in the pic-nic shelter. Details here:

Looks like it’s gonna be a small gathering 類

I believe it is more attributable to the rapidly declining use of forums as Facebook gobbles up people's time.
This is still the best treasure hunting forum on the Internet, maybe those of us who would like to see it prosper should promote it on social media to help it survive as a viable entity for the transfer of information.
I'll start today. :)

I think the size of the gathering will surprise you, it has been larger each time it was held.

You have to realize

I think the size of the gathering will surprise you, it has been larger each time it was held.

More of the old timers are starting to show up at the picnic. I don't think that they are the social media savvy types but are coming more by word of mouth. Kind of a reverse trend of this millennial generation.

Up to 300 people and a lot of treasure hunting legends sitting under those trees in beach chairs

I’ve no doubt the crowd will again be large. I remember when we put together a list of attendees. Much too big for that now.

This one will be my fourth, and it gets bigger every time.

I sent you a PM. Looking forward to meeting you at the picnic.
