I don't know for sure, but a few 1613 coins came from the San Martin. I doubt these are the oldest ever found though, there are probably a few 1500's wrecks out here somewhere. ;)

I found these 4 bronze chinese coins on the beach south of sebastian inlet all within 50 feet of each other.over 1 foot down in the sand.year?kang hsi era.

thanks for the replies, the reason I asked is because I found a couple of carlos and joana's on the beach and I have never heard of a wreck that old on the treasure coast.

the "Green Cabin" San Martin...wrecksite will produce coinage from Charles and Johanna...
I believe even a few of the early issues...
Also the mysterious area by the power plant...will produce very early coinage...
