I figured distance from shore, of area north of here. It came out to 13-14 miles out.

Using Potter and Marx to inquire about shipwrecks? You would be better off with a crystal ball..
Marx of course. Potter a little less!

I could name a couple treasure hunters you would not trust them, using a crystal ball (or anything else that's similar)..

You are asking me how for a broken ship will travel ? ? ?

Hmmm... if broken.............. not far :)

Um... errrr broken traveling ships is not my forte'.. heh

If it were i would volunteer my help / expertise to the the TSI crew in locating the Stern Castle of the Atocha,,, and ...
With that scenario in mind,,, and to somewhat answer your question by using the Atocha as a prime example...

Some parts of a broken Spanish ship CAN obviously travel far enough to at the very least.............. elude detection. :)

Ivan, if one were to create a compelling computer model of your Ship, what are its specifications and fully loaded weight.
This information would allow a possible track from the sandbar onward.
Especially since it is claimed here on TN that the sand bar is devoid of any shipwreck material, then the ship made way, not making way towards your neck of the woods, eh ?
