    Oregon wreck

Long but very good article on a Manila galleon wreck in Oregon.

Those wrecks are currently and secretly being mapped out with mag surveys, can't talk about it any. At the last moment as cold season set in, an object the size and shape of a cannon was picked up with metal detector but only last dive of season. Nothing was done to uncover it, all is yet in survey mode.

There was a lot of beeswax on the one galleon, in the past pieces have washed up on a beach.

Great article. The treasure of the Santo Christo is in the story. To find the actual names of the Captain and crew is amazing. Who knows what else lies hidden in the archives?

Two of the three wrecks I know are located and possibly a 3rd also. I'm thinking there is a 3rd but don't quote me on that.
Not all of them wrecked on our western coast.
