National Geo had a show on this, this weekend. It was excellent!

I think I calculated the volume of the silver on this wreck a few years ago and also figured out that only like 2% of it had been recovered. Finding all these cannons makes me wonder if the crew replaced most of their ballast with them. One of the things I commented on was how there has been no ballast discovered yet- it is mag. detecting and then blowing holes over the metal.

Someone commented about this ship being looted by the people on shore while it lay out on a sandbar. I wonder why more pirates didn't survive if it came in in such good condition. I also figured that each person would have had to carry off about 40 pounds of coins before Southhack arrived.
