Hey guys, I have a WM ROGERS 12 Wallingford, act knife here. I'm sure it's silver plated but what I can't figure out is is this one rare? I have searched eBay and the web and can find no examples of this pattern on the handle. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I have no doubt you know the name Wm. Rogers refers to many different companies including. Wm. Am Rogers, Ltd, Wm Rogers & Co., Wm. Rogers, Jr.; Wm Rogers Manufacturing Co., Wm Rogers and Son; and Wm. G. Rogers--among many. If possible, I'd start with determining which Wm. Rogers company produced your knife. Several cites can be of help, including this one:
silver and silver plate: Clearing up the Rogers Confusion: Marks and Manufacturers
Good luck with your research,
Don...

this is a fruit knife circa late 19th century. they came in sets. i don't think this was a full-line pattern and it may not have had a name. the 12 may refer to the quality or weight of silverplate. google wm rogers fruit knives.
