Went for a small hike to a little creek with NuggetNate for a sluicing session.

Did the usual sample here and there, with not enough gold to quench my thirst I moved further down stream.

Found a nice spot I could work the sluice and be close to some juicy looking bedrock.

I went to work moving rocks and feeding the sluice when I noticed a large shine in the flare of my sluice.

I thought no must be one of those quartz rocks or a pc of yellow clay rock like it usually is.

Fed some more material in and noticed it was still in the same spot, so I reached in and grabbed it and as soon as it was out of the water I knew it was GOLD!!

I could hardly contain myself at this point. I took a few looks at it popped it in my mouth and headed up stream to show NuggetNate what I had found.

Had a super duper time sluicing with NuggetNate in the cold and the rain.

The rain eventually turned to a down pour so we headed home with some nice gold!!:headbang:

The nugget weighted in at 1.5 grams but looks bigger..lol

Good luck to you all and don't let the rain stop ya.:occasion14:

Was a fun outing! My total wasn't quite as impressive lol. I don't move around quite as much. Chose a hole where the bedrock stayed level under the bank. Most of the gold I found had manganese on it. Lots of lead and pyrite nuggets too. Sorry forgot to take a pic of what I got!

Thanks for the compliments on the nugget.

Made for a great day out, I think a 1.5 gram nugget keeps you smiling for about a week. :laughing7:

Not every day is a nugget day but sher feels good when you find one.
