Spent the day with Mojobro-in-law. At 3 o'clock have your sluice and all related mining gear up and away from the waterline. Lost a very necessary bottle of water.

Lots of the yellow stuff in that pan mojo. Of all things that could be taken downstream by the water, it's the water bottle that goes. Bummer.

You can live for a couple days without water, but if that snuffer bottle gets away - its the end of life as we know it !:laughing7: Is that the dam releases at 3pm ?

The dam release is early in the morning but it takes till 3pm to reach the spot they were at. We had days on the Middle Fork where we would be 6 feet under and then wake up to the dredge being 10 feet up on shore. Then by the time breakfast was done it was close enough to drag back in.

I have seen the release on the middle for yet but I hear its treacherous. On the SF they release at 7 or 8 am depending on the schedule and 6-7 hours later watch out. Grabbed the bazooka and snuffer bottle and got it up on the rocks. The water bottle just rode the waves.......Reed thanks for posting more often, enjoy all of them.
