Just wondering if anyone prospects above Jackson, Ca. off hwy 88? Just looking for some camping spots with maybe a place to pan or sluice. Gold would be a bonus but a good camp spot is first.

If your rich you can camp at Roaring Camp on the Moke. $550/week two people Whew! must be catering to the Bay Area crowd wit da money!

Roaring camp is supposed to be pretty cool. Two can camp for four days non weekend. it is 350...but look at the gold that is found....they do have virgin gravels......

We stayed there close to twenty years or so ago, I agree very cool place, just hadn't realized the price had gone up so much, was about the same as the other campgrounds when we went.
