Went up to the Bear River yesterday. Hiked down to the closed camp ground to get to the good spot I dug last year.the water was running alot faster on the spot and the little dam that had a spot for my BGT was gone. So I poked around a few other spots but was not finding anything. I went back to my good spot but had to shovel into a classifier and bucket and then dump that into the BGT.
The water was running a lot harder and it was deeper than last year. It made digging really hard just bringing the shovel up out of the water was a struggle. And by this time it was already 1:30. But, it was well worth it. My back is real sore today but I'm happy with what the BGT collected for half a day.

why did you "have" to shovel into a classifier?......also everyone digs in "the water" at the Bear.......I found gold out of the water too.....lots of bedrock....screw digging in the water

Since my bazooka was not within shoveling into distance it was way more efficient to classify and carry over a bucket of pebbles and sand than to haul over bigger rocks.
You do it your way and i'll do it my way. I enjoy being in the water.
