Thanks for the maps mason! Been winding my way up the creek. Sampled someone's hole [emoji28][emoji28][emoji28] found a good little bit. So far this is my best of Utah gold

Looks like your sluice is working well. It's public land so if it looks like a good spot, jump in the hole sample and dig. I imagine that most people only prospect occasionally. Who knows if they even would have come back to that particular spot.
Hopefully things calm down in the next few weeks and I can get back in river.

Wow....That looks like what we find on the beaches here in Oregon.

I played around for a couple hours. I didn't classify any of it. I let the rocks pile up and cleared them as needed. I'm guessing I really need to hike up and follow the trail. I found a fork in the stream I'm guessing following the hiking trail is the way to go.
