Sluicing? prospecting equivalent to vacuuming up treasure, gold sluicing is one of the most efficient gold retrieval methods known.

Can a moderator change that? Everytime I see that I cringe.
Who would ever describe sluice box as vacuum and most efficient?!?

Lets bring up the tnet IQ and change the sluicing forum description please.

T-net, your thoughts on proper description for sluicing....

Todd, I thought the same thing. Someone not familiar with the subject was in charge of describing the forum :icon_scratch:

Sluicing: When you want to process more material than one pan at a time.
or,
The next step up from panning in the progression of gold processing.

Something like that would be a much better description, although I think a lot of folks that come to the site probably already know what a sluice is if they are browsing the gold forums with any sort of regularity.

As long as the sluice box is being fed by a dredge they're right on the money!

how about this- Sluicing, the answer to your problems with panning until you find out about extra time and energy used to classify your rocks down first to use the sluice.

Bazooka gold trap, the answer to your problems with sluicing and classifying until you find out you cant get one at any price or wait!

Wow, I've never even read that. Just deleting the current description and leaving it blank would be a step in the right direction.
