Vacuum molded Micro sluice

I wanted to see if I could 3d print a mold and vacuum mold over it to make a micro sluice. Turns out I can. Not sure if they will work worth a darn, but it was fun to go through the process of making them.

mill some back cut riffles. Those square drops boil to much and fine gold can't settle out. The calsluice is the same and it spits out fine gold.

I was wanting to do this, bit not sure how well the part will release from the mold. I'll check out the calsluice and see how it works.

Mine did get a little back cut from the pattern softening under the heat of the vacuum mold.

If I wanted to get fancy I could make it so the riffles retract at the angle of the back cut prior to the sluice coming off the mold.

Rosej - really awesome what you can produce-like the creativity. Like other's comments, try a riffle pattern with cut-back and varying extruded heights. Maybe something simple like below...

Use a product called "mold release" to get your sluice free from the mother mold!

I don't think mold relsase would help with back cuts, as the molded part would cover more than 180 degrees of the mother and trap it.
