I can buy it locally at Nercon Engineering as it's rough face conveyor belting, and they make conveyors.

Does the Vortex matting that you order online come with the three fabric layers in it also?

Not sure, but I could get just about any belting needed.

Online, I don't know.

I get all that, This area is SO SMALL, that there is never a local source for ANY project that you come up with. A lot of things are sold everywhere, but this BFE community never has anything. You normally have to travel atleast an hour East to Olympia, or order it online and wait. I am just shocked that for once, this one item was available in this town.

The largest stores here are Walmart, Goodwill, Ross and Marshall's. No joke. OH and there is a Sears in a defunct, sinking into the swamp, used to be a mall. We finally got a Tractor Supply store about a year ago.

This place is that small, don;t get me wrong, i love it here, this is home. but it is inconvenient when you are a DIY kinda person.

Lycof now you've got to learn to be creative in your design and make it work for you! Not everything works for your exact situation and it'll be up to you to get it done! Good luck!

There's also a local source for abs plastic sheets in Aberdeen, if you want to go that route for sluice boxes and such. It just takes a heat gun and simple wood jig and some clamps to bend it. Mine are all made this way and they are tough and light weight.

I used 1/4" but my next projects will be 3/16" and it should still be rigid enough and 25% lighter.

Just got off the phone with the Eugene source.
67 bucks for a 4x8 x 3/16 sheet of black ABS
9 bucks per cut to have them cut it to dimension
And they can do the bending too for 9 bucks a bend.
Not bad I'd say.

A skill saw using a fine tooth blade and a straight edge cuts it, and a $10. heat gun works out a lot cheaper....especially since once you see how easy it is,
You'll be making all kinds of useful stuff you haven't even thought of yet..:icon_scratch:

True enough.... just threw it out there to let people know about the services these places offer and the prices aren't really that bad... let them do most of the grunt work and save your time for the important stuff...:laughing7:

Also did you see this?..... http://multicraftplastics.com/access...p_heaters.html
Might make for sharper bends since the heat will be more concentrated.
