Quick shot of the highbanker.
Without the extra sluice and votex on it yet.

Here's some pics of my recycler. I have a 300 gal. water tank for my pickup so can do a days worth of dry digging. I like shoveling out of a wheelbarrow and not having to bend over, it is better for my back. The tank has a 4 inch plug so I can flush the tailings when the tank fills up and then refill the tank. I have a 1/4 inch screen in the sink I shovel into and the rocks roll off the back. Works good. The biggest problem I have is screening the organics from plugging the pump. I have tried numerous screens but letting it run wide open and pulling the debris off the pump input seems to work best.

Get rid of that 90 and have the hose go straight into the ball valve, if you have not glued everything yet. Just swivel the T so it sticks out.

I’ll try again but I think to the T is glued in the downward position.
I’ll check again tomorrow

Nice set up, I see the carpet or whatever that is right at the start forcing smoother flow
I’ll have to add something like that.

Once I get a functioning pump I’ll try it without. I have a pressure coupler which should hold the hose in

Ive been running my blue bowl with out a fuse for about fifteen years.... never have I had a burnout .

Whats a bilge like 4 amps drawn?

Battery charger to battery... leads from bilge to clips negative stays attached positive is my on/off lead

wires never get hot same pump for years.

I realize bigger pumps draw more but?

if its running and pumping what it should I wouldn't thing the pump was broken.

My battery charger is the type that wont turn on unless it is hooked to a battery.

Though I can trick it after it starts and leave the positive leads connected.. detach from the positve side of the battery running positive lead from charger to pump and it will keep running.

your fuse should be no more than 150 % of amp draw.

If your not supplying the pump with enough voltage your amp draw will increase.

any loose or corroded connections will do the same. 16 g wire can handle 15 amps your pump isn't pulling that.

Try this disconnect the water supply from the equipment.

Run the pump in the tub with it basically pumping at zero head.

if you don't blow a fuse its a clue that your trying to get the pump to pump more than it can... the resistance is increasing the draw.. and your fuses are blowing.

Well replacement came in, well I’ll just say not even packed well factory box thin no protection at all.
And almost same result except this pump runs noisy rattles and after a couple min blew fuse.
This time on positive side. Here is the kicker I even ran as you suggested 0 head.. instant fuse blow.
Honestly I think it might be just a crap product. They even lowered the price now lol!
I’ll post a video in a few have to upload it to YouTube.

Ok, here is the video. Yes the light sucks, I work until almost dark and had to wire it up.
Less initial output than the first pump.. think the rattle may have been it damaged in shipping.

try hooking it to a car battery that switching power supply was meant to power electronics,
a motor needs a higher draw to get powered up. maybe the pump is trying to draw more than is available.
shouldn't blow a fuse like that, strange ???

I’ll give it a shot. Have nothing to loose at this point haha.
Will be a week or so, have a few other things going on.
That power supply is 25 amp surge and 23 can be supplied on a regular.
But the shipping damage on 2nd one lol! Box would have taken blow if it was thicker.
I’ll post up next results. I’ll video tape it as well lol.

Soooo, company refunded me today. Would prefer to go electric pump for now, until we can run a highbanker in the wild again, looking for next pump suggestions LOL.
I will try the original pump with a battery in a week or so.
But open to suggestions again hopefully not to expensive.
