The weekend of March 8th I'll be in the Greenville/Spartanburg area visiting my daughter and she suggested I bring a
couple of detectors so both me and her hubby can hunt some area parks (his first time MD'ing).

Are permits required for hunting Greenville city parks?

Also, is Paris Mountain off limits for MD'ing? (that's fairly close to where she lives)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or comments :)

Thanks,

Hey Watercolor,
I hope you have a great trip.
I live in Myrtle Beach, SC, so I'm not too familiar with Greenville laws, but I can get you the contact info on someone who definately will.
His name is Randy Reece, and he is the owner of Best Finds Metal Detectors in Greenville. I met him about a year ago here hunting the beach. He's a real nice guy, and know's metal detecting! He was the very first person I ran the idea of the 2009 Treasure Expo & Trade Show across right there on the beach. Now, the show has grown into what will be the biggest treasure hunting show ever.

You can send him an email to:

Again, good luck and be safe.
