Private land is what you want. Knock on some doors and pour on the charm! Park and state lands are regulated in our great state, so private land is more productive. BTW in SC you can't own water, so you can access any creek at a bridge. Also DOT right of way is 30 feet from the center of any road with yellow lines. Giving you ample entrance to the stream. You may legaly travel up or dowm stream but may not disturb or enter the property on either side. Hope that helps. From Blacksburg I would try northeast. Kings creek has been worked and has alot of build up from the commercial activity but the tributaries look promising
