I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

    Thanks Stan,
I learned a lot from this site. Mainly that I can't tell a good fake from the genuine article!
I'm going to check out bigcypresshunter's sites next.

Re: Modern Fakes of Ancient Coins

As a tyro numismatist, I wanted to get into ancients really, really bad... The advent of ebay and the seemingly unlimited supply of "recently dug" coins piqued my interest in a big way.

In learning what a minefield of fakes and forgeries Ancient coins are, I decided to forgo it. There's only so much time in life for so many passions; to attain the requisite knowledge on ancient coinage- so you aren't constantly getting hosed by Bulgarian forgers- seems to be a lifelong pursuit and I'm already engaged in far too many 'lifelong pursuits'.

But yeah. Intensely cool hobby for those willing to dedicate the time to do it right.
