Hello, my names mike. I was hoping that someone might be able to identify these coins and if they are real? A guy said that his grandpa had a big box of them and since he's cleaning all of his old junk out would like to get rid of them. He says they're heavy and might be lead. I think they look like a spanish cob but would like your opinion before I haul the 600lbs of them out of the basement. Thanks for any help.

As for the one pictured. I have an IDENTICAL one in my collection. Makes a nice, high pitch, tinging sound when dropped on the table. I'll scan it and posts pics when I get home.

If these coins are like that even if they are lead 600 lbs would be worth a lot of money, but these look real and maybe worth a fortune.

I need to correct myself and say that they are ALMOST IDENTICAL and made out of tin. I have four (4) in my collection that are counterfiets and 2 (the last 2 in the pics) that look like they were made by the same individual(s). These may also be promotional coins that were massed produced and just "wandered" into the collection. Here is scans of all 4, in the same order on each scan.

Weights are, from left to right: 17.3g, 7.2g, 6.9g, 7.0g
