Re: Where to buy a treasure chest ?
Keep an eye on Sedwick Auctions. The last one in the fall featured a chest like the one pictured.

This same chest was eventually sold to and will be on display at the Pirate Museum owned by Pat Croce.

There is a Tnet member who just completed making a custom treasure chest...might just do a search and find him.
Live each day as if it were your last. Soak in and seek love and light and shine it upon everyone who will accept it. Value your true friends like gold as they are more rare and valuable than you may ever know. Live in integrity with all men.

Re: Where to buy a treasure chest ?
You want to look for things listed as dutch money chests, or Dutch colonial chest. Also Dutch strong box, which may be more the look you are going for.

There are a few antique places that have them every once in awhile, as well as Christies's.

Re: Where to buy a treasure chest ?
Their are a few shop around that still make the old cast cannons , you will have to do a search to find one. There used to be a shop in S . E . Missouri around Puxico that made cannon like you are looking for , he made the 1 pounder up to the 12 and also made the Motar and they were great quality . But I have not been there for 10 or more years and cannot remember the name . But I will tell you that they are not cheap !
Few things I love to do is , Metal Detecting for anything of the past!
Making Detectors better ! Tuning and finding ways to upgrade Detector hardware , To make them work the Best that is possable !
