Not only did we find gold two weeks in a row, but the first week we found a two escudo amd a 2 reale lima star that was double struck and the second week we found a one escudo and a 2 reale lima star that was not double struck plus what I believe is a transitional 8 reale.

It is indeed a 1652 Transitional 8 , looks like a Type III - Large "dot" between pillars. pg. 305 of Cobs Pieces of Eight and Treasure Coins by Sewall Menzel.

If you go back and look on my thread, you will see that the coin you are talking about was found on Saturday the 16th. The coin pictured above was found on Friday 15th. I have not finished with that coin yet.
