Don.... this us about as good as it gets. Little more baking soda gives nothing more under a loop or coin micro. Those waves seem to connect to the square.... looking almost like a hand. Ive now tested it 4 times so i didnt look stupid if i found out it was play money..... because first glance looks like a cup of coffee lol. I know the wavy lines in some cultures were symbols for water.

You might try placing some baking soda on a piece of tin foil then the coin then placing more baking soda over the coin; then wrapping it up and immersing it in distilled water for an hour. Recheck each hour for a few hours for any change (improvement).

Don.... i found it. Just plain ole junk. I grabbed some aluminum, .925 silver and the coin. I thought it was a low grade of silver.... but naaaa its aluminum. Did a little more looking around and came up with this: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/66405-thin-dime.html Thanks for the help.
