Possible Spanish cob

Found this coin on a remote NC beach this weekend in the surf. From what Im gathered, you are the guys that could help me out the most with identification and any additional info. Its a goldish color, with what appears to be a seam around the edge. One pic shows both sides, and the other is just a size reference. Thanks in advance for any info

While the pics probably do not show the true color, the seam around the edge is a dead giveaway to it being a fake! A Gold Escudo was struck from one solid piece of Gold, not two pieces of metal that were then soldered together using lead or another compound.
