    Is this a cob?

    A good friend of mine gave this to me today, taken off the San Jose' wreck in the Keys. It is silver, and you can see the spanish cross on it.

    Absolutely. And judging from the size it looks to be a 1 or 1/2 reale, but cant tell without some scale. Give us something to size it up to.

    About the size of a Lincoln cent. If you need a scan of it w/the penny in it for scale, I'll post one. Thanks.
