I found this "bit" piece of silver last year - found in 1600-1700 colonial field
luckily I had my pro-pointer that day - it was mucky where this was found
I have found bit pieces of silver in the past - this is the smallest - was tarnished and knew it was silver
just put it in my colonial display case
was bored and looked thru my case - pick this up and wet my finger and wiped it - thought I saw something
looks like part of a cross -
so what do you think - cut up cob or more recent reale
other side is smooth
I was always told that a piece like this was worth a pint of ale at taverns
