Is this a Spanish coin?

**I posted this in “what is it” but I thought I would move it over here for more exposure.**

I found this at a old homestead. It reminds me of a hammered Spanish coin even though it is only half, it looks like something went through it, maybe a bullet? It is super thin. Any ideas?

If it is a Spanish coin it most likely would have been in circulation until 1820 or a little later since that is the age of the site, the site did have Spanish contact.



The last picture is what it reminds me of.

I opened it in Photoshop and tried all kinds of lighting and contrast settings and no luck finding anything. Sorry. :dontknow:

I have not done metal detecting since 1995 but at that time I had a Fisher underwater metal detector.
