    cob

    Ok i found this in a hunt several years ago..Its been laying in my coin box with the other silver stuff...I think its a 2 silver cob

    First guess: Two reales; Potosi mint 1701-1727; Assayer: Diego de Ybarbouru.

    thanks guys,

    thats what i thought it might be but I dont know a whole lot about these type of spanish coins..So i defer to the experts...

    I use to wear it on a chain but not anymore because I'm not into jewelry only like to find it..

    also got a few like it that look like black shell encrusted messes...one of theses days i'll get them cleaned up and see what they look like..probuly not much

    Rob,
    Yes, do get those other "cookies" or "brownies" cleaned up and bring them back for ID. There are quite a few real experts in this field that monitor and assist this thread and look forward to seeing new material.
