Hey guys,

Dug this one yesterday, some have speculated that it is a contemporary counterfeit of an 2 escudos. Any info on age/origin/assayer is appreciated

It has the features of a 1740's type 2 escudos from Santa Fe De Bogota. You can tell because of the shortened cross terminals. It's some kind of token, or a gilded contemporary fake.

Thanks cuz, it's definitely silver - perhaps the assayer used the wrong punch? Or just a colonial counterfeiter
