If the coin was dated 1807, the assayer's initials would have been TH.
But these are clearly FM.
Assuming the date ended in '7', that would give it a date of 1797.
The FM letters only appear on 1/2R MXC coins from 1789 to 1801.

I stand corrected, Assuming it ended in 7...it clearly is present, so 1797.
I'll stick with cobs or Musketballs...Cheers
