I have a plate block (Scott's US 1050 40 cent John Marshall). In looking up its value, I found the same stamp with the same sheet number but in a different position. Here it is on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/1958-JOHN-MARSHALL-JUSTICE-Postage/dp/B003LG46FK
My PB # is on the outside top left.
The stamp has no varieties so I'm wondering why the same stamp would have duplicate sheet numbers?
I'm old enough to have forgotten the answer 60 (or 70) years ago, so please be kind with your response.

Thank you NJearthman !!
Apparently, the plate block being sold on Amazon came from the same sheet as the one I bought in '58 with the same plate number.
That would certainly be coincidental.
