It wasn't on the show. Yeah, the show is BS, like all reality television.

I could see maybe a drug trafficker putting that kind of cash there, but you know damn well he ain't gonna forget about it.

The origin of the story is Dan Dotson, there is no other corroboration. Either way, you know the IRS is going to want names of both the buyer and former owner.

Yes I only believe the story if I didn't read about it. Are people that dumb that they'd want to pay millions and IRS scrutiny for bragging rights? And who would be dumb enough to put a full safe in a storage locker they don't own and can't hide or at least bolt to the floor? I have to avoid the click bait.
