Anybody ever heard of the Famous Mines of Santa Barbara in Northern Mexico? They actually
included the three towns of Endehe, S. Iuan and Sta. Barbara!
I have this listed here for a reason!
My thread Tayopa/Topira/Topia, is also known by the French as "Les Famous Mines de Sta. Barbara"! You say what BS! Then you have not studied your history as well as I have!

Mines of Santa Barbara

Good morning Tuscon 1, Yes, the Santa Barbara group is well known?? But they do not include the true Tayopa of legend. ????? There are many mines named similar to Tayopa, as you have posted, it was so common that the mining office / agencias only identify them by an Expediete no. so a title shows Title number, Expediente number, and finally a popular name.

In regards to Gaynopa. Have you seen this digitized book on the exploration to Gaynopa in the Google Library? Published around 1901, so it is in the public domain now. It is called the full text of 'EL Mexico desconocido'.
