Explorer SE Question

I'll try to explain this the best I can. The digital screen seems to be on a delay, in both modes. The first mode, with the numbers, as well as the other mode with the bullseye and graph. I can scan an object and it just sticks (silver half, zincoln etc etc all read the same). I can lift the detector off the ground and the numbers change. It just seems very odd to me. The graph is the same way. I can lay down 6 different coins of different size and metallic content, scan them all and the #s or graph just stay the same. The depth meter does work properly and efficiently. I hunt by tone and dig most signals anyway so i guess functionally, it doesn't matter. It just makes me wonder if my machine is messed up. Do other SE users have this problem or do the numbers/graph seem to change with normal and reasonable speed?

thanks
