Minelab Explorer......Recall for cracks in plastic housing around where the shaft for the coil goes into the main body, and also for faulty earphone jack....

Monty, that Garrett recall was for the ACE 250 last year and I sent mine in. Got it back in about 2 weeks, good as new, maybe better. They didn't have a serial number series to reference so they accepted most any 250 but were mainly interested in those that were likely manufactured before April/May 2005. Of course shelf time played a part so ones purchased later could still have been suspect therefore they looked at any sent in at no cost. They were super nice and easy to deal with.

I sent mine in late in the year, after the basic season was over, so I haven't been out yet to evaluate any changes.
