    Time to put my DFX away for winter battery issue ?

    I had read that if your not going to use your detector for a few months to take the battery out , if i do will my custom programs reset them self's back to factory settings ? EERPROM programs if they do its no biggie i can just put back in , just curious Jim HH

    You can take the battery's out all winter and your eeprom custom programs will still be there in the spring.

    You should take the battery out because even if your DFX is turned off it is still drawing some very small current from the battery, and if the battery will be drained for a long period of time it might discharge to the piont where it wont be able to store a charge as long as it used to. You will cut its life span. Thats why when you buy a new battery pack it always comes partially charged but not fully discharged.
