    Hi Ben,
I use the Killer B headphones and really like them. Not sure what you have for a price range though, as these run around $75-$80. I think I bought mine from detectordepot.com

Those are nice.A little more than I wanna spend, until I get sorted out, and find some new places to hunt.

Had the Rattlers before and they are nice. Problem was they were to tight around my noggin. Never could adjust them properly so I sold them.

    Re: One ear headphones?

The earpads on my headphones are horseshoe shaped, open at the bottom. I did the mod using a sharp utility knife. Now I can hear my pinpointer easy.

    Re: One ear headphones?

I recently got the rattlers and wore them on one hunt so far and love them. I was actually ablt to wear and keep my hearing aid one. Hope that wasn't a one shot deal.

    Re: One ear headphones?

The advantage of the single earphone is you can hear threats around you like rattle snakes and thieves etc.
You can also hear your pinpointer. The disadvantage is you will miss a lot of signals at the beach because of the surf noise.

I too like to hear what is going on around me. I just move the one ear cuff behind my ear. Works pretty nice really.
