    Rewireing Detech SEF coil

Can anyone help me as Detech are unable to be contacted and the main dealers for the coil ,Joan Allen, say the manufacturers will not provide information on how to rewire the six pin plug. The coil is for a minelabs sovereign gt.The colure for mine labs is as follows red to pin 1,black to pin 2,white to pin3,yellow to pin 4,and pin 5 and 6 not conected. The SEF coil has the following wires,a single yellow and green,a gray, a black, and a brown, So as you can see the colures of the wireing dont match the minelabs stock coil so I have no idea in which order thay go into the six pin plug.Minelabs warn that if incorectly wired it could damage the detector. So looks like I have £180 coil unrepairable as Detech have NO after sales support nor do the main UK dealers Joan Allen once warenty runs out

    Re: Rewireing Detech SEF coil

its absolutely no problem to rewire, check other coil with tester for ressistans and repeat it on your sef and you will be able to put order in your wires. o go to this forum http://www.geotech1.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8 and ask more details.
