Minelab Explorer II troubles. HELP (update)
Hey guys and gals I got a Minelab II that was working great till yesterday. Went out did my usual around a location that has oldies. I noticed that my battery was going dead so I change it. Then a Train came by and the machine went bizzerk I was only 50" away from tracks. I shut down the detector and took out battery pack and it was smoking hot and the batteries where hot and melting out. I change the batterys again and now the machine is not acting right (sound is off and very slow). I think it needs repaired but I dont know where to send it or even if they work on them still. Please help. Thanks Terry.

Re: Minelab Explorer II troubles. HELP( updated) not happy
That was a waste of time and money. After talking to the tech with my machine in hand said sounds fine when doing air testing. I asked go outside and bury a coin 2 inches I bet you wont find it if its a penny or dime, Qtr will but smaller ones you wont. They said cant do that outside
Well I got it back same problem just was told get a better coil like a pro type said it might help. I don't know if I should buy a coil or not. I got two a 1000 10" which said is bad but can the 1050 be bad to
Well I'm lost on what to do got any suggestions..later
