I'm very new to this hobby and have only hunted local farm properties in NJ with my inherited Whites DFX. I've been invited to hunt a property in PA that has an active iron spring. Any thoughts on what I should expect that to do to my readings or how it will effect my depths?

You will ground balance and that should take care of it.
