I don't have a Landstar, but don't put much thought into an air test. Put in a test garden of coins and trash objects in the ground at various depths and adjust your Sensitivity knob to see how it affects the depth capability of the detector.

I'll do that, I did bury a lighter 2-3 inches and it missed it, but I gotta learn the machine yet. I did have my coil cable come out of my coil and I epoxied it back, could this be issue?

I agree. Never cared for air test. Just make sure you have a clean test site.

If the cable came out of your coil, using epoxy will not reconnect the wires from the cable to the coil. I'm afraid you need a new coil. The wires in a coil cable are stranded not solid copper wires. Over time, the stranded wires will break due to flexing of the coil.

The black outer cable pulled up a little, I popped it back in over the two smaller cables inside, just not sure
