 "Is that a Geiger Counter?"
MP3 Player Detects Gold
In the interest of all the Tesoro owners out there who don't care to see information related to gold and other metal detection I am happy to announce that an MP3 player will detect buried gold with the same voracity that a digital camera can. All you have to do is set it to FM in a white-noise frequency for your area and wander around until the "natural harmonics" of gold cause a signal on the FM bands. It will likely have to be a harmonic, as the FM is tuned in a slightly different range; but we're dealing with sciences not yet understood and later we'll all laugh about how silly we were not to have been doing this right along.
The other advantage is that while you're digging out the loot you can listen to your favorite tunes.
Good hunting.

Re: MP3 Player Detects Gold
Very strange, I have a vacuum cleaner that will do the same thing. It is a bit difficult to tune tho.
Along the same theme, I'm investigating a product that claims to have the capabilities of finding fingernail clippings buried in the carpet.
Will wonders never cease?
There are three kinds of people,Those who don't know.
Those who don't care.
And survivors.

Hmmm AP: Hi, hmmm, hmmm, just what kind of kinky things have you been submiting the pore blender to? As for the micro wave oven, place the TV screen to where it can't see it, or horrors, stop watching the XXX movies..

Re: MP3 Player Detects Gold
Sry, inside joke (perhaps inapropriate). Some of my buddies bought a magnetic bumper sticker that said "I love (heart) midget porn" & stuck it on my rear bumper, I drove around for weeks before I finally spotted it. Its been a joke that I ran with, I say Im into midget porn all the time, magnet is now stuck to my PC at home, much to my girlfriends shagrin.
So yes, its a joke. Those stubby lil' arms & legs kinda freak me out a little!

No chlorine: we have a well. Just toad poo and grub carcasses - the normal aquifer stuff.

Re: MP3 Player Detects Gold
I have heard a magnetic force on a common compas will point to gold/iron signals of burried treasure.
I can't figure why some dude has to bring the subject of drugs into this subject as listed before on this post.(Just shows ignorance).
I will have to try out your tip, many thanks & Happy New Year 2012 friend. 8)

There's always the Swingline Stapler option which is equal to or better than using a dowsing pendulum on a printed map
