    detect back to your vehicle

always make a habit of swinging your coil all the way back to your vehicle as you never know what you may find. I was remnded myself of this today when I found this 14k ring today just 3 feet from the car

No joke? What were you parked on- gravel, dry dirt etc.? I wish my luck ran so good! Good thinking though, hunting back to the car.
    You lucky thing you...

Gold is where you find it. I believe it as it has happened to me only it wasn't a ring but a V nickel I found once when I was bragging how good my new detector was to a buddy. It you don't cover the ground how are you going to hear a beep?

Mellow , this particular school yard you park on gravel and walk maybe 20 feet to playground, its on grass. One of the older tips that was from the 70"s was to hunt all the way back to vehicle as you never know what your last signal will be, case in point above

Great tip and even a better ring. That is beautiful. Congrats my friend!

Yes, my car makes a pretty big signal when I get to the door...lol

It's funny how some days, you start by the car, finding something nice, go all over the "hot looking" spots and nothing, only to end up searching and finding more by the place you park. That's happened to me several times.
