Help with Eagle II
Hi there; just got a used Eagle II for my birthday and I am already finding little bits and bobs around the woodshed, but does anyone have any links or advice for using it properly?

Re: Help with Eagle II
The manual can be down loaded from here.
http://www.whiteselectronics.com/man...gle%20Manuals/
1. Press the on button.
Don't air balance yet.
2. Press the Audio Mode to select hunting mode.
A. COIN & JEWELRY
B. PROSPECTING & RELIC
C. BEACH
3 Now press the AIR PROMPT button.
4. Press the GND PROMPT button.
Now after the GND Prompt.
5, Press the AUDIO Mode button again to select the audio sounds.
A. A mode is standard motion discrimination mode with continuous tone
B. B mode is silence search mode.
C. C mode is a ID tone. ( 2 tones )
Your are ready to hunt.
You can from this point can raise the SEN up until the detector gets unstable.for the deeper stuff.
Hint: After find something. Press the trigger on the handle to pinpoint. Watch the depth gauge for the shallowest depth. the target is right under the center of the coil.
Another Hint: After pinpointing release the trigger and bounce the coil off the ground. if the detector still rings out with every bounce then the target is good. ( Like coins and rings ). If the detector doesn't ring solid on every bounce then it is junk stuff. ( like pull tabs and scrap aluminum.)

Re: Help with Eagle II
Hi, Is your detector an Eagle II SL? I have a custom "coin-hunting" program that works really well with it. A good friend of mine wrote this program and I would be happy to share it with you.

Re: Help with Eagle II
I would LOVE to see your program! I am currently finding mostly old nails and bottle caps. I found a silver spoon yesterday but I think it was kind of a fluke.

Re: Help with Eagle II
Hey Megatweet,
Have you tried any of those programs yet?
How did they work for you?
One of them and I can't remember which one, will cause the detector to sound off with a "tweety-bird" sound on silver. You don't ever have to look at the target i.d. When you hear that tweety-bird, you know it is a good target....so start diggin
Let us know what you are finding out there.
