Hand Dug Well Exploration

Bought our house years ago and there is a hand dug well on the property that has a cap on it. Thought it would be interesting to see whats at the bottom of it over the summer. Is there any kind of camera system with a light that I could get (or build) that anyone has experience with? Have asked all of the neighbors about it and the 102 year old told me it was there ever since he could remember so no telling what (if anything) is at the bottom and under the water.

Thanks in advance!

You could rig a GoPro, rubber bands, and waterproof flashlight, people do this all the time. Search for magnet fishing on YouTube. Getting a good Magnet fish setup is probably wise too, because you could clean out any ferrous stuff down there
