Help a noob

Hello there, I am a noob, and I want to go treasure huntin. The only problem is that I am on a rather low budget. Does anyone have a cheap way to find some treasure?

What's a noob? Cptbill has advertised for a treasure partner. He seems to be the only serious treasure hunter around here.

For about $200.00 you can get a decent Detector (Garrett Ace 250) from Kellyco (See Link above)

they also have detectors for less then $100.00.

cheap is really cheap. I live in australia and I only get $20 a fortnight

Thrift shops and yard sales, my friend. There are tales abound of folks that have found their first MD for under $50 at places like that!

If you are looking for caches you can use a wire probe to stick in the ground. These are usually about 4 feet long and can tell you if there is a large object in the ground. It will take practice. Despite what someone says,I know of over 15 people on Tresurenet that are full time treasure hunters,including myself. That is just the ones I know about.
