HELP Garrett CXIII

My brother just gave me his CXIII and I'm wondering how it compares with the new detectors on the market. I just moved to the Vegas area. What should I be looking for? I like walking through the desert so I thought I'd start taking this thing with me to see what I could find. any suggestions?

had a cx3 grand master hunter for several years... sold it so as to update to newer / advanced unit.......sure wish i had not been so stupid.......keep it, get used to it, as from my experience they have not gotten much better, only alot more pricier........if you decide to sell it, send me a p.m.......gldhntr

Did you get a user manual with it? If not, you can request one from the Garrett website.
Read the manual, learn what the controls are,how they work and how they should be set.
After that, practice, practice, practice!
