I have heard stories of people who can see light above gold..

I have read stories of people who can see a yellow light above gold deposits in the ground, mostly at night and all the stories seem to only involve women, usually Hispanic women, wondering if there is any truth to this myth/legend?

A)? Morning Carl, me again. I believed exactly the same when I first started seriously TH'ing in Mexico,? I soon was forced to backup.

I personally lost three treasures by waiting too long after gathering the details due to some Idiot finding and recovering them first by those damned fires, hehe? or sniff?

I then entered into a campaign to prove that? it was all superstition,? but was soon forced to give in.?

I found tons of metalic junk, roots, organic matter, mineral veins etc.. all at fire sites, apparantly each? giving off a distinctive color of light, generally just after the first rains which softens up this adobe soil.?

I now have several weak theories which might just explain it. this is also why I do not flatly discount LRL's, since in light of this experience, they could work in theory .

This much I do know, i worked as an assayer for a bit in my checkered career (wasn't always a successful treasure hunter you know),? and in the process was hit with a case of Cynanide poisoning, this has sensatized me to the point to where I can now smell an open drum of Cyanide or where it has been used up to 25 metres, this despite claims from the manufacturre that it is completely odorless.? This has earned me lot''s of coffee money, hehee. A very sickly sweet smell, very disagreeable to me.

Yes, there are fields of energy around all minerals and they do have differences. Gold does have a distinctive field. Those of us who are sensitive can detect these differences. Those who are not sensitive are like the blind man who has never really had sight.

These fields are more easy to detect when there is some humidity or a recent rain.

I have personally done testing of clairvoyants and they do have some interesting abilities - in fact - spectacular would be more like it.

The universe is a trully wonderful place and we here on earth are still in the dark when it come to perception and what is really the truth of existence.

Skeptics may pooh pooh this but until you have been there you are better off reserving judgement.

Skeptics don't need to "pooh pooh" any of this. They simply offer up a cash prize for anyone who can demonstrate such abilities, and then stand by and let the claimants deny their own claims.

Now, can someone actually demonstrate an ability to see this supposed "energy field", or yellow light, emanating from buried gold? Would they care to earn $25,000 for demonstrating this ability? Or $1,000,000? Let the alibis begin!

HI AGAIN CARL:? In essence and pure logic, I tend to agree with you, however in my personal experience in testing this fire thingie out, I was forced to admit that something was making these fires.? There were? too many cases of my personally? recovering? copper, iron,? some silver, ant nests, roots, mineral veins, etc., each with a "distinctive" color or glow similar to swamp fire --no! I never found any Gold with a fire, in fact very little silver.? shucks

As I mentioned, I honestly did lose three treasures by waiting too long to actually go to the site because I personally did not believe in them.? ? I? still will not go on a hunt for/with? a fire only, but, I now know that no matter how erratic the search with the help of treasure fires may be, they still continue to find treasures with them - but also I could dig a New Grand Canyon with the ones that were blanks.

Something takes place which we still do not understand, similar to swamp fires or perhaps? other partially explained electrical phenom.? Yes I am aware of the accepted explanations of all of the above, I once? saw? what could be called St Elmos fire, as well as many other natural and ususual things.? These treasure"fires"? generally only occur in an arid Adobe soil condition, such as in our South West or Mexiico.

As a side thingie, if I had this ability to consistantly dowse, your offer would border on the rediculous since I could quietly make far more? otherwise without the IRS? etc. looking over my shoulder.

So on the face of it, your offer is without value, unless I had an ego problem.

Err, Ah, does your offer apply to my detecting Cyanide??

Sorta. I agree that if folks really could dowse for gold, there would be a fair number of rich dowsers, who probably wouldn't need my $25,000. But Randi's $1,000,000? Heck, even after taxes, that's a chunk o' change, and the winner of that pot would have the option of quite a bit of international notoriety. The net worth of winning that would probably be a few million, all on the up-and-up.

What I see instead, are a bunch of folks who claim they can dowse for gold, but have nothing to show for it. When the Missourian in me says "show me", the claims are replaced by alibis. Ergo, one value of my offer is to reveal the inner beliefs of the folks who claim they "can do it", which it has done so with remarkable consistency.

Err, Ah,? does your offer apply to my detecting Cyanide??
    Nope, sorry. Randi might, tho.

    P.S. -- I replied to your earlier email, but got a bounce-back.

    A) HI MY FRIEND CARL: True, true, still ------like winning the lottery, best be left unknown, hehehe.

What I see instead, are a bunch of folks who claim they can dowse for gold,

    A) Unfortunately true also. As in many fields, all too many people can easily "claim" things prematurely, incorrectly, or even fabricate, but for my own satisfaction I have proven that dowsings does exist, but I cannot beat 70% repeat performances, sigh. SO, I still rely upon my trusty metal detector and intelectual deductions. Err, how many tries would I have?
