You might not wish to "upgrade". Its not that the boost mode drains the batteries quicker as there's only a slight loss of detecting time compared with say the Whites V3 but the in ground depth is not much improved. Over stubble or tall grass there's a real gain but the extra inches in air don't automatically apply when the coil is brought down to its normal operating height. If the money is burning a hole in your pocket its not a bad move and most seem happy with the later Teknetics. There does seem to be a little more doubt with upgrading in the Fisher range.
