..............if you can find a location that's has moderate to low EMI. My version 5 handles EMI better than my version 4 did, but it's still a bit too sensitive to EMI. The mid-fifties home that I detected today had hardly any EMI at all. I was able to run the Omega with a NEL Sharpshooter search coil attached at full sensitivity, 0 discrimination, 4 tones and GB around 60. I've detected this yard before, but not with the Omega. I've pulled several silver coins from this yard on a previous hunt, but I was amazed at what I had missed in modern coins and coppers. I only managed to pull one silver coin today. It's better than nothing!:laughing7:

Nice digs Tabman. Never can pull enough silver Rosies or Buffalo Nickels. :occasion14: After you clean out that Site, Id' go back with my biggest coil.

I was thinking about doing that, because a lot of those deeper targets today were just barely detectable using the smaller search coil. I usually can't use the bigger search coil on the Omega because of EMI. This site should be just fine with the bigger search coil.

Taylor I wish that you still lived here. I've found some really good places to detect, but they're a little risky for one person even with a LC9. I've found around a dozen silver coins in four short hunts so far this year. I spend a lot of my detecting time looking over my shoulder.

I have a spot like that. It's risky but I keep going back when I can.

Oh BTW, great coin finds with the Omega. Silver is always great and so are Buff's.
Congrats.
