If anyone is interested in selling their vintage 8500 coin computer I would be more than willing to purchased it for no more than 300-400 dollars but it must be a working model with the battery clips still intact and working.

I know this is an old thread but if you are reading it now this may help you. I had 2 9000's for over 15 years and loved them. got rid of them and then decided in June 2019 to buy another. I bought 2 of them. Both sellers said they worked fine. 1 came and fired up but just squealed no matter what you set it on. the other the screen would black out and it didn't find a dime 1" away. I returned the one I could and threw the other in the trash. Since then I have looked at a 8000 and a mk3 both which made noise but didn't work well. I guess their time has come and gone and unless you can find a new/old stock one it isn't worth it. I just bought the T-2 LTD hoping I like it as much as the 9000.
